Community Supported Agriculture Program
We at Firefly Farm in Burke Hollow have been growing food for ourselves for close to two decades. Over those years, we’ve dreamed of one day owning our own farm and providing food to our community. Now, that dream has become a reality! This year will be our second season operating a CSA. We plan to provide you with fresh, local seasonal produce, occasional products made from the harvest, and a relationship with the farm and farmers that bring you your food. We are looking forward to partnering with you!
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a mutually beneficial partnership between community members and farmers. By purchasing, in advance, a share in the season’s harvest, community members receive a weekly allotment of produce throughout the season, and farmers are able to use these advanced funds to purchase what is needed for the growing season ahead.
We believe in organic farming practices. We do not use synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, nor genetically modified seed. Most of our seeds are organic, although occasionally, depending on availability, conventional seeds are used. We welcome any inquiries regarding our growing practices. This is your food, and you have the right to know exactly how it gets to your table.
Below are the share options for the 2020 growing season. The spring share will last four weeks throughout the month of April. The summer share will be fourteen weeks from June 22 through September 26.
