Firefly Farm at Burke Hollow
COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE PROGRAM
2023 Season
This is our fifth season operating a CSA, and we have learned so much! Our commitment to our CSA remains the same. We expect to provide you with fresh, local produce grown without harmful chemicals, products made from the harvest, and a relationship with the farm and farmers that bring you your food. We are looking forward to partnering with you!
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a mutually beneficial partnership between community members and farmers. By purchasing, in advance, a share in the season’s harvest, community members receive a weekly allotment of produce throughout the season, and farmers are able to use these advanced funds to purchase what is needed for the growing season ahead.
We believe in organic farming practices and regenerative agriculture. Regenerative agriculture is a conservation and rehabilitation approach to food and farming systems. As a small farm practicing regenerative techniques, we focus on improving biodiversity, refining the water cycle, bolstering ecosystems, supporting bio-sequestration, strengthening our resilience to climate change, and nourishing the health and vitality of farm and top soil. We do not use synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, nor genetically modified seed. Most of our seeds are organic, although occasionally depending on availability, conventional seeds are used. We welcome any inquiries regarding our growing practices. This is your food, and you have the right to know exactly how it gets to your table.
